As a pianist I know I'm not alone when I say that I often end up recording a song because of a particular singer's redition of it. I first remember hearing Remind Me, a Jerome Kern classic, and Nobody's Heart by Rodgers & Hart in a 1960s album by Doris Day called "Close Your Eyes". Her accompanist then was the great Andre Previn who always hits the right note with me. Or take Cry Me A River, Julie London's defining torch song for all time. Another matchless example is When I Fall In Love as sung by Celine Dion in the movie, "Sleepless In Seattle". Other memorable songs in this album include It's The Talk Of The Town, Stars Fell On Alabama and Cole Porter's I Get A Kick Out Of You. "Porgy and Bess" is recalled with the classic Bess You Is My Woman and I Loves You Porgy. And had he penned but one song, Alex Wilder would forever be remembered for While We're Young.
