COCKTAIL PIANO I was our first album sold through The New Yorker magazine in 1992. The idea for the Cocktail Piano series happened when Jim Haskins played in several of Honolulu's finest hotels one night each week over several years. Basically the idea was to make a solo piano album which recreates the kind of sound you would hear in a fine dining room or lounge where people gather to visit with their friends. Jim's feeling is that the music should enhance the experience by adding a measure of romance to the occasion. It must be quiet enough to enhance but special enough to deserve close attention. What it should not do is compete with the conversation.
COCKTAIL PIANO I has remained a best seller since its release and is the recommended starter album in the series. We promise that once you hear it you will want more of the Cocktail Piano albums to add to your collection. Try a few sound samples. We believe you will love the music and find yourself playing it over and over again. And, oh yes, it can become your own in-house cocktail pianist at your next party or celebration. Think of the money you'll save.
Try out the sound samples, order a copy, and plan your next party.
